Duties and Responsibilities of the Department of Highways

• To carry out duties under the Highway Act specifically relating to special highways, national highways, and concession highways, as well as other relevant laws.
• To conduct research and development in the construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of special highways, national highways, and concession highways.
• To cooperate and coordinate on highway-related matters with relevant organizations and agencies, both domestically and internationally.
• To perform any other duties as prescribed by law to be the responsibility of the Department, or as assigned by the Minister or the Cabinet.
